We love this church because we are being taught well. The doctrines are sound, the people are loving. Without repentance salvation is impossible and you have no hope for this world or the one to come. "Repent and believe!" You can't - you're dead, remember - cry out to God and beg Him to save your soul. If you call to God from a heart of genuine repentance, He's the One who's given you that repentance. Praise God!

Nate's preaching is not to be likened with the preacher who reads a text and then takes you a thousand miles away from what it said. It is sound and carefully biblical. The gospel or the Good News, is presented clearly: the virgin birth, the atoning death, the bodily resurrection and the ascension of the infinitely perfect God-Man, Jesus Christ. The doctrines of man and salvation are accurately compared: in the fall, Adam as the representative of mankind, fell completely and he and his progeny (his decendants) are now spiritually dead in sin. They cannot pull themselves out of this grave. We are all dead men, walking. We have no island of good nor are we in any possible way able to reconcile ourselves to God. Christ, by His atoning death stands in the gap between the wrath of God and the sins of men. However, as we have heard Nate often preach, it pleases the Lord Jesus to save from God's wrath a people for Himself. In His sovereignty, which is to say in His absolute power which no man or body of men can thwart or coerce, before the world was made God set His heart on saving a race of people from the peoples of the world that He would yet make through His Son. These people (and no others) God raises from their spiritual death for His own purposes, chief of which is to conform us to the image of His Son... Romans 8: 29 "For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to BE COMFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON..." We learn from the Gospel of John that God the Father, he Himself builds this kingdom of people by His own hand. John 6:44: NO ONE (emphasis added) can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him.
